#MomSchool: Three Specialized Events Just For Moms

Posted by on Apr 22, 2017 in Events | 0 comments

Moms always have a gazillion and one things they need to do. We know, we’re moms too. There’s always a missing pair of sock to be found or a sandwich to be made, but for the month of May, wouldn’t it be great to take off for just a couple of hours to learn something new?

(Tip: Below are great Mother’s Day gift ideas or fun date activities too.)

We’ve got three empowering Saturday workshops lined up for moms. Each one is totally different, so take your pick (or attend them all!) We’ve got one for homeschooling moms or soon-to-be homeschooling moms, then there’s one on time management and productivity and the last one is all about how to use the power of your voice in parenting. We’re calling this series #MomSchool

First Saturday: May 6, 2017

Personalized Homeschooling
If you’re thinking about homeschooling or you’re just about to take the leap but you have no idea what you’re really getting into, this is an encouraging workshop for you.

If you’ve been on this incredible journey for a few years now and you’d want to hear not just from a veteran homeschooling mom, but also from her daughter who was homeschooled all her preschool, grade school and high school years, then come on over and be inspired!

mariz&shingMariz Dearos is a mother of 4 and has homeschooled all her kids since kindergarten. She is a Philosophy graduate of the University of the Philippines and currently homeschools her two 8th graders and 2nd grader. She’ll be sharing the things she has learned about teaching her children the past 14 years. She’ll touch on choosing curricula, saving on books and knowing when and how to adjust or change methods when the season calls for it.

Her eldest, Sofia, is now a Sophomore at the Ateneo de Manila University taking up AB Comm. Sofia will be sharing what life was like as a homeschooler and will debunk myths about homeschooling as she shares stories of how she adjusted to life in a big university.

Mariz is married to her best friend, Erwin, and together with their kids, they take budget-friendly trips around the Philippines and discover great places which become their school for the weekend.

They hope to inspire those who are about to homeschool or even those who’ve been on this journey for a few years that you can definitely personalize your homeschool in the most practical ways.

Personalized Homeschooling for Practical Parents will be on May 6 from 4-6pm at The Office Project in Salcedo Village, Makati. Mom’s special rate is PhP 300 and for non-moms, it’s PhP 350.  Deadline for registration is on May 3.  We’ve only got limited slots, so register right away over here: click this

Sound Advice

We’re saving the last Saturday of May for moms and dads to discover how they can use their voices in ways they’ve never imagined. We’ve got the best power couple to help you find your Best Voice Ever.

Ron & Joyce Titular are communications coaches who have been together for 25 years (16 of those married) and share two beautiful children – Wolf and Diandra, who are both based in the US.

Ron and Joyce believe that everyone has something to say, a story to tell, something to share; an idea, a point of view, a discovery, a lesson, a message…something that deserves to be heard.

Their goal is to enhance your communication abilities by providing a safe, enjoyable and challenging environment to help you begin mastering control of your voice so that you get your message across more confidently, more clearly, more effectively and impactfully.

Whether your purpose is to educate, to get people thinking, to inspire them or to move them… you deserve to be heard, but more than that you deserve to use your best voice ever so that when you do speak people won’t just hear you, they’ll listen.
