Hi, I’m Jana!

NCT-205I love books, nature, new ideas, music, movement, artistry, the ocean, adventures, meeting people and chocolate.

Labeled as a bohochic, I traveled and wrote for a travel and lifestyle magazine, and began blogging, in 2007.

On December 2015, I closed down all previous blogs and opened up School in a Backpack, as my family-of-three entered a new season in our lives.

I used to be a full-time career woman working within the industries of multimedia, marketing, communications, production and consultancy up until I officially retired from the corporate world in 2015 to pursue teaching (my son, in particular).

I’m a part-time college professor at De La Salle – College of St. Benilde (currently on leave in lieu of homeschooling). Currently, I teach a Communication and Collaboration class for homeschoolers at Homeschool @ Valle Verde.

My rich list of involvements and experiences do not at all compare nor even match up with who I am today —

I AM A HOMESTEADING WIFE AND HACKSCHOOLING MOM.

I’m a huge supporter of my husband, innovator/actor/entrepreneur, Joaqui Tupas. Together, we are raising up a fun dude, Tugz. My life is joy!

Learn about my blog from my about page and how you can be a part of it from my tag along page. I also write about my adventures as a wife in my marriage via MrsEverAfter. And if you (and your child) are curious to try something daring and new, you’ll find me blogging about surfing via TropicalSwells, a fun and safe surf school for ages 4 and up.

Enough about me…

I WOULD LOVE TO GET TO KNOW YOU!
